Redesigning the Adirondack newspaper
This is a school project from Advanced Typography, where I was assigned Adirondack newspaper. I was told to reframe who the target demographic was, tweak any content, and essentially reinvent it as a magazine. I liked this challenge, because the newspaper was so bare bones that it allowed me to be creatively free in this reimagining.
I chose to make it in a "hip", "retro" feel to appeal to a younger more active audience. The newspaper was primarily about hiking, racing, and other outdoor activities. I affectively achieved this appeal through stark contrast, modern typography, and vivid colors and photography.
